1. What makes your products handmade?

Every piece in our collection is made by hand in our Newtown studio. We source fabrics, vintage barkcloth, and one-of-a-kind materials ourselves, then cut, sew, and assemble each item individually. Because each piece is crafted by hand, there may be slight variations in pattern placement or finish — this is part of what makes your piece truly unique. Timeframes vary by product; made-to-order items typically take 2–4 weeks.

2. How long does shipping take?

In-stock items are dispatched within 48 hours of your order being placed (Monday–Friday, excluding public holidays). Pre-order items ship on the date listed on the individual product page. We ship from Newtown, Sydney, Australia. For full details, please visit our Shipping page.

3. Can I customise a product?

Yes! We love working with customers on custom and made-to-order pieces. Whether you have a specific fabric in mind, need a particular size, or want to match an existing piece in your home, get in touch and we'll do our best to bring your vision to life. Custom orders are subject to material availability and lead times, which we'll confirm with you before proceeding.

4. What materials do you use?

We work with a curated selection of premium and vintage materials, including tropical retro fabrics, vintage barkcloth, and other carefully sourced textiles that reflect our love of colour, pattern, and texture. Lamp bases are selected for their quality and character — many are vintage finds. Specific materials are noted on each product listing.

5. Do you ship internationally?

At this stage we ship within Australia only. We're working on expanding our shipping options in the future — follow us or check back for updates. Please note we do not ship to PO Boxes.

6. What is your return and exchange policy?

Because many of our products are handmade and made-to-order, we are unable to accept returns or exchanges for change of mind. If your item arrives damaged or faulty, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery with photos and we will make it right. Custom orders are non-refundable once production has commenced.

7. How do I care for my lamp or cushion?

Lamps: Dust gently with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid moisture near the lamp base and shade. Use the recommended bulb wattage listed on the product to protect the shade fabric.
Cushions: Spot clean only with a mild detergent and damp cloth. Do not machine wash or tumble dry, as this may damage the fabric or cause shrinkage. Keep out of direct sunlight to preserve the colours.

8. Can I visit the store?

Yes, we'd love to see you! You'll find us at the south end of King Street, Newtown NSW 2042. Our opening hours are:

  • Tuesday – Saturday: 11am – 5pm
  • Sunday: 12pm – 4pm
  • Monday: Closed
